VOY is the label of designer Vesta Okyere-Yeboah (VOY). Started in 1999, after working in various sectors of the fashion industry for companies such as French Connection/Nicole Farhi, Bruce Oldfield Ready-to-Wear, and DAKS Simpson Group.
Our Vintage Audrey dress, a signature style of the label, was selected to feature prominently in Madonna's directorial debut, the bio-film W.E. The film tells the story of the romance between Prince Edward, Duke of Windsor, and Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor. Included on the left are images of the actress Abbie Cornish in the dress on the set.
Voy is all about creating a label that epitomises timeless 'investment' pieces. Our aim is to provide you with tightly edited, ever-evolving collection of items you need in your wardrobe. Shapes are simple, uncomplicated with natural lines. Vesta's love of classic tailoring is evident in every piece, with a contemporary twist. Colours are often demure and muted, taking inspiration from vintage items and antique oil paintings.
In a very artisan way, garments are made in-house in our studio in Cambridgeshire, England. Some items are made by select machinists working from their home. Some of our garments can take one person a whole day to make by hand, ensuring the quality of the finished garment. We make what we need, so that we do not over produce. Some pieces are ready-to-send, and others are only available 'Made to Order'.
Fabrics are sourced mainly from suppliers in the UK. Most of our wool are produced in the north of England by family run mills. Main fabrics are woven wool, wool/cashmere, linen, cotton and silk.
Having previously wholesaled to select boutiques in the UK and Europe, and sold in our own boutiques in London, Voy is now sold exclusively online
